The Greek Northern Ballet organizes a Summer Intensive 

July 1-July 12, 2024 

The summer courses are ideal for those who want to develop as professional dancers, to acquire an excellent physical condition, to correct and develop as dancers in classical and modern dance and for those who want to make a good preparation for the entrance exams at the Ministry of Education, the National Opera and KSOT so that they have a better chance of success.

This year’s summer course program will focus on improving technique, fitness and danceability. The level of the course will be Intermediate and Advanced. The intensity and demands will be high, so very good physical condition is required from those taking part.

Seats will be limited

The program includes:

• Classical Ballet Lesson
• Pilates/ B arre a terre
• Classical Repertoire/Pieces from Ballets & Variations
• Contemporary (Technique, Choreography, Improvisation)

Hours: 5 hours (daily), 5 days a week

Participants will receive personal corrections and will be taught a unique approach to classical dance technique under the instruction of Master Athanasios Routianidis, a graduate as  Pedagogue – Balletmaster   of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy and Soloist Dancer with groups in Russia and Europe. 

 Seats will be limited, there will only be 8 seats available.

Those who want to register for 1 week or 2 should attend the weeks in order.

1 Week (July 1-5)

Week 2 (July 8-12)

3 Week (July 15-19)-Only for those who register for the Professional Training Program

Cost per week:

1 week €350

2 weeks €600

3rd week (Classical and Repertoire) €300

Smallest number of participants 5 people, Total places 8.

Successful participants will have the opportunity to benefit from a discount on the Early Bird price :

1 week with Early Bird until May 31 €180,

2 weeks with Early Bird until May 31 € 300

Level Intermediate and Advanced Senior Group: ages 14-2 2 places available from 5 to 7. Order of preference will be observed.

For those over 22 years of age, they can apply or applications will be accepted if there are vacancies.

If you want not to lose your place, you must register by May 25 and prepay by May 31, 2024.

→ Send the application with your details to greekballet@gmail.com (with photos in attitude dance pose, arabesque a la seconde and a video of a ballet lesson 15-20 minutes (Barre, Center, small-medium-large allegro) optional one video with classical variation of your choice and contemporary and a detailed biography of you.

Those who live in Thessaloniki can, instead of sending material, audition for the Summer Intensive with a drop-in class after applying for participation.
